A photography teacher, along with two of his students headed on a fun-filled trip from Delhi to Munnar in Kerala in an old model of Maruti 800. Yay or Nay?
To all those with a nay, you are no new to this club. The trio shares their experience with thynkfeed and what do we do? Oh, we gift wrap it and bring it straight to you, for we love our readers.
Rohit Gautam (Senior Faculty, Raghu Rai center for photography) along with two of his students Arjun MG and Sahil Solanki decided to go on a road trip in a Maruti 800 (2012 model). As soon as they posted their plan on Facebook, people started mocking them. Numerous comments on their post read ‘This is not possible.’ But, as soon as the trio began their journey and started uploading pictures on Facebook, they exquisitely shut the notion ‘NOT POSSIBLE’.
Travelling a total of 3800 kms, they covered Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu to finally reach Kerala. They shell out a total of Rs 1940 and Rs 18100 on petrol expenses.
We bring out for you some of the finest shots from their 14-day Carnival.
1. Day 1 (Delhi- Agra- Jhansi) featuring ‘Selfie’ Water Bottle and a puncture
A tyre of the car got punctured which they cheerfully changed in the sweltering heat (The photograph is a living proof of that cheer). Something crazy that they discovered on a dhaba was that a water bottle brand called ‘selfie’.
2. Compact India-Pak in Jabalpur
As the guys drove from Agra to Jabalpur, they noticed something amusing. A shop had the flags of both India and Pakistan on either side of its shutter.
3. Day 3 and 4: Jabalpur to Bhedaghat Road to Nagpur
Did anyone know we possess our very own mini Niagra Falls!
4. Nagpur to Hyderabad
Even a cup of chai becomes a moment to rejoice during such adventures.
5. Hyderabad to Bangalore
The scenic beauty continues to serenade the trio.
6. Bangalore to Wayanad
Vintage car, elephants, natural beauty and the insane journey continues.
8. Wayanad to Kozhikode with the famous monkey with whom people were clicking selfies
9. Kozhikode to Thrissur and Kochi
And there is Fort Kochi, artistic walls.
10. Kochi to Alleppey
The worth of this picture is undisputable? You just can’t agree more.
11. Alleppey to Munnar
And then, the trio entered Kerala.

We always complain about how we don’t have time or money or both to head for a vacation. And then, there are these people, breaking all the stereotypes, having fun just the way they want.
