Okkie. So as I begin to write this article, a song crosses my mind, from the movie Delhi-6 (yes, the Masakkali movie), ‘Ye Dilli hai mere yaar, bas ishq, mohabbat, pyaaaar’. Let’s talk about Delhi and Delhiites. Love us or hate us but you simply can’t ignore us! Delhi is one city which boasts of a rich culture and history, and more specifically famous for it’s people and their ‘jugaad’.
So, here we bring you a tour of this beautiful city on a shoestring budget.
1. Hop on a HOHO bus
If you are new to the city and wish to explore most of it in a single day, then HOHO Delhi Darshan bus is the solution for you. Tickets on Monday cost Rs. 400 each while on other days it is Rs. 500. Qutab Minar, Humayun Tomb, Delhi Haat, Isckon Temple, name a place and this bus takes you there, the only problem is that if you go on with this then you may have to spend some extra amount on food.
2. Join a food or a heritage walk
A food walk or a heritage walk, these are 2 new initiatives by some foodies and explorers that guarantee you a very good day. Delhi food walks is an initiative that explores the famous old Delhi streets and its food. With just 500 bucks in hand, joining any such walk can be an ultimate experience.
